Carter and Gunn have both stated that The Batman is distinct from the rest of the DC Universe, and next, Reeves and Gunn have done the same.

And yet, the greater the Batman role in The Brave and the Bold is unfilled, the more likely it is that Pattinson will assume the role. Yes, he portrays the Dark Knight with its eternal warriors and crazy researchers from different sizes in a more grounded, younger, and personal way than the Grant Morrison comics do. However, it’s difficult to imagine that Gunn isn’t giving a damn about bringing him into the primary DCU because Pattinson already has the suit.
