Superman has a capable bandit’s exhibition under his belt. You might just know this from comic book shows, where the Man of Steel alternates between Lex Luthor and General Zod, but aside from Batman, Spider-Man, and perhaps the X-Men, Kal-El has one of the top criminal schedules in comic book history.
So it’s interesting that writer-director James Gunn revealed in his wonder Wednesday statement about Superman 2 that the film is then entitled Man of Tomorrow and is on the verge of a July 9, 2027 release date, as well as that it looks like it might feature Nicholas Hoult‘s Lex Luthor and David Corenswet’s Clark Kent, although not as you might have expected to see the shaven evil genius.
In the following social media post, where Superman and Lex are seen side by side with the evil LuthorCorp CEO in some sort of mecha super-suit, and Superman leaning on his rival ‘ back while Jim Lee pencils a gathering of them. They appear to be working together, if we read the repercussions effectively. !
